Who i am
I grew up in a tough working-class part of London. My dad worked on the railways and my mum was a homemaker. I moved to Australia because I loved the fact that here it didn’t matter where you went to school or how wealthy your parents were.
32 years ago, Karen and I fell in love with the Sunshine Coast and settled here to start a family.
Highlights of my career before council include being a state manager for Phillips Data Systems, running a successful small business for 7 years, working on multiple infrastructure projects including the Caboolture Hub and the Museum of Seaside Culture at Bribie Island, and being president of Caloundra Chamber of Commerce.
8 years ago I was elected councillor for Division 1. I am an independent who has never had a party allegiance or taken a single dollar in donations from developers or any other interest groups. I focus on getting results on the ground, protecting our regional character, and serving our community every day.
